Leicester Toolhouse Hire operates in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. We only collect the minimum personal information required to process tool-hire requests, deliveries and returns.
When you fill out a form, call or email us, we may record your name, phone number, email address and delivery notes. For business clients, a company name and invoice address may also appear on the booking record.
Your details are used solely to handle hire agreements, confirm timing, or send safety updates related to hired tools. Occasionally, we may send a brief note about seasonal opening hours or new kit categories — only if you have chosen to receive such messages.
All booking data is stored on encrypted systems within the UK. Paper delivery notes are kept in a locked cabinet and destroyed within 12 months. Email correspondence remains archived for up to 24 months for auditing.
You have the right to request a copy of your data, ask for correction of inaccuracies, or request deletion where lawful. To act on these rights, contact [email protected] or write to 18 Granby Street, Leicester LE1 1DE. We respond within 30 days.
We do not sell or trade personal data. Limited sharing may occur with trusted logistics partners who deliver or collect equipment. They receive only what is necessary for completing your booking.
Our systems use password management, encrypted cloud storage and regular audits. Access is limited to authorised staff who are trained in data-handling practices.
Basic cookies measure anonymous site visits and keep forms responsive. Full details appear on the Cookie Choices page. No advertising trackers or behavioural profiling scripts are installed.
If you believe your data has been mishandled, please write to us first. You also have the right to contact the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
